Two celebrated Melbourne chefs who probably couldn’t be much more different and whose styles are worlds apart. But vegan maestro Shannon Martinez (Smith & DaughtersSmith & Deli) and Euro-focused Ian Curley (The EuropeanKirk’s Wine Bar) are set to prove that unlikely pairings really can work a treat, when they launch their new collaborative venture next month. The powerhouse duo is embracing the world of plant-based fare, together heading up the culinary offering at new vegan and vegetarian bar and eatery, Lona Misa.

The GIG - Full Time 

 

Success in this role and in the relationship will require you to:

  • You are a hands on CDP with minimum 2 years experience in a similar environment
  • You will be enjoy being on tools and bringing our creations to life 
  • Bring your on-trend ideas, new dishes, new concepts and new menus to make our food offering the best in the area 
  • Good knowledge of WHS, food hygiene and efficient kitchen processes
  • Your team think you're absolutely fabulous and you LOVE to train your peeps
  • You work fantastically under pressure, are cucumber cool and a natural born leader who gets things done
  • You love the face-to-face guest experience and LOVE getting to know your guests
  • Minimum of three years culinary experience
  • Highly organised and efficient
  • Calm under pressure
  • Will adhere to and enforce strict health and hygiene standards
  • Give guidance and support to more junior staff
  • Passionate about producing quality food
  • Reliable and motivated
  • Authentic and friendly disposition
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • A genuine commitment to the trade and our business
