Your Hotel - Ovolo The Valley 

Welcome to your Whimsical Oasis. 

Situated in the heart of Brisbane’s Fortitude Valley lies Ovolo Brisbane.  Inspired by the eclectic culture and iconic history of the surrounding neighbourhood, Ovolo the Valley draws guests into a whimsical oasis of colour and art, with surprising hints of quirkiness, custom wallpaper, eccentric furniture, and illustrations curated throughout all its spaces. Designed for effortless living, Ovolo the Valley features 103 guest rooms, Tel Aviv-inspired Restaurant ZA ZA TA, and bar KAZBA, multiple event spaces, and a rooftop pool.

We are currently on the lookout for our next Conference & Events Supervisor (Part Time) to join our fun and exciting team at Ovolo! As a C&E supervisor, you will lead our team from the front, ensuring all guests' wants and needs are met to ensure maximum customer satisfaction. You will be looking after all types of events from corporate boardroom functions to weddings and birthday celebrations.

This is a position that will require flexibility within your availability. Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

• Supervise the delivery of events and facilitate the bump-in, event, and bump-out of phases
• Ensure event briefs are followed and troubleshoot like a boss, where and when required. Welcome the guest  as their primary face-to-face liaison and act as the main point of contact on-site for all stakeholders
• Be the main point of engagement with the general public and event attendees
• Management of all things events inventory (clothes, furniture, signage, equipment, electrical infrastructure, etc)
• Lightning quick, master multi-tasker managing varying roles across busy service periods

You are creative, focused, and settle for nothing less than the very highest standards of service delivery. Our team works hard, has fun, and consistently goes out of our way each and every day to create amazing and memorable experiences for our guests. You will ideally already have supervisory experience in a food and beverage role or have several years of experience in C&E operations. A valid RSA will be required.
