Your Venue - ZA ZA TA

ZA ZA TA is a place where worlds and cultures collide amongst a sprawling, colonial backdrop and buzzing open kitchen focused on ethical eating and conscious cuisine. The team are bringing the soulful vibe of Tel Aviv, a blend of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, with a distinctly modern twist to centuries-old flavours. 

The Gig

As our new Junior Sous Chef, you will be assisting with the growth of our food offering, menu and workflow design. It goes without saying that our food will be paramount, but not like that all too-slick, corporate blah blah experience happening elsewhere in your traditional restaurant. We have a bit of personality, a bit of freshness, interesting and quirky, we shine and are always changing. This is a Full-Time role, operating 7 days a week. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Assisting in menu planning, implementation and execution
• Supervising of kitchen team and ensuring appropriate training is provided
• Controlling food preparation and managing wastage for your section
• Leading by example as a hands-on-chef with excellent quality assurance and standards
• Assist in the development through innovative and original menu planning and maintenance of high food standards
• Establishing and maintaining effective employee working relationships at all times
• Bring your on-trend ideas, new dishes, new concepts and new menus to make our food offering the best in the area 
• Ensuring WHS, food hygiene and efficient kitchen processes at all times

About you

You will ideally have a minimum of 1 years' experience as a Jnr. Sous Chef. You will have a pro-active outlook and positive attitude that will keep your team motivated at all times.
