About You The Duty Engineer will be responsible for all maintenance activities, ensuring all requirements are appropriately actioned daily. The Duty Engineer will ensure the efficient and effective completion of maintenance tasks in allocated properties and achieve the results and expectations set by the property management. The Duty Engineer will be responsible for undertaking maintenance works within your recognized scope and will ensure Ovolo standards and procedures are maintained consistently and implement ideas to improve maintenance activities through close alignment with hotel business objectives. The Gig - Undertake the day to day operation of all maintenance requirements including maintaining the building’s equipment, fixtures and fitting
- Action and prioritise maintenance requests according to level of urgency and importance, according to the Hotel Preventive Maintenance Programs established
- Communicate effectively on a daily basis with the maintenance team and other departments and provide an up to date and detailed maintenance report as requested
- Provide comparable and best quotes when requested for parts or service/repair from outside vendors
- Ensure all work in guest rooms and public areas to ensure out of order areas of the hotel are brought back into use as soon as possible – in touch with Housekeeping & Front Office at all times
- Complete all tasks in a timely manner upon receiving the request and report back to the appropriate person upon completion or if delays are expected, specifically those which are guest related
- Complete daily hotel rounds and note for repair any equipment that may appear or sound faulty
- Participate in hotel walks for maintenance inspections – weekly basis with GM
