If you are passionate about the restaurant industry and have previous Head Chef experience in a Hotel, then we want to hear from you. We are in the need of a hard-working, self-motivated  Chef to join our team. You will manage the kitchen, develop menus and create delectable recipes. The ideal candidate for this position is creative, enthusiastic and passionate about food and has been involved in relaunching new concepts and building a team. 

The Gig

 Your responsibilities will include but not limited to:

• We are looking for an Head Chef to be part of the transition and reopening of the Restaurant early next year
• Can look after both the Bar Woolloomooloo, Breakfast and C&E
• Responsible for maintaining an immaculate and well-organised kitchen and all back of house operations
• Recipe tasting and menu creation
• Selecting, hiring and training all culinary staff. Leading by example and maintaining an open line of communication, whilst setting high standards for culinary personnel
• Mentor, Coach and Train the kitchen brigade- be hands on 
• Scheduling of kitchen staff as well as maintaining labour goals for the back of the house
• Product ordering and food inventory 
• Work closely with General Manager to enhance knowledge of P&L and budgeting
• Work across and manage both the restaurant, events and bar areas.

About you

To be successful for this role, you will have a minimum 3-4 years' experience as an Executive Chef, Head Chef or similar within the culinary space. A Food Safety Handler certificate is a must, as well as experience in a high-volume restaurant. Leadership, communication and organisational skills will be your superpower, as well as being highly innovative, curious and have a passion to create! Most importantly, you will be FABULOUS. UNCONVENTIONAL. & NEVER BORING.
