The Gig

You will not only design, create, and implement all things cocktails, but you will lead the bar team to ensure we are providing the ultimate experience to our guests! You will work closely with the F&B General Manager to establish smooth running of operational requirements. This is a HIGA Full-Time role operating on a 7-day rotating roster. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

• Run day-to-day bar operations, ensuring shifts are appropriately staffed and effectively managed

• Oversee Bar operations in a way that maximises efficiency, effectiveness, and service delivery, in line with Ovolo standards and procedures

• Design and deliver effective on- and off-the-job training initiatives regularly in line with identified training needs, so that the team is familiar with all products and services, including full knowledge of menus and wine lists, service standards and procedures

• Have a high standard of operations, procedures and service 

• Devise comprehensive and user-friendly standards and procedures for beverage operations and communicate effectively across the team

• Monitor service standards and procedures followed by team members and act where standards are not achieved, including informal and formal performance management processes

• Control billing procedures, floats and cashing up and take full responsibility for the cash and payment handling procedures

• Oversee selection and purchase of beverages and ensure regular stock takes of beverages and achievement of budgeted cost of sales

• Establish and customize service level standards

• Develop and maintain supplier relationships

• Minimise beverage complaints and ensure guests are put first

• Proactively drive team morale and promote a productive and enjoyable team culture and environment

As our Bar Supervisor, you will take full ownership of the bar rather than simply supervise a shift. We are looking for an experienced bar professional (minimum experience 3 years) who is accountable, organised, and hands-on, with strong attention to cleanliness, presentation, and service standards.

We are on the lookout for our next Wonder Maker, aka Guest Service Agent to join our fun and exciting team. As our GSA, you will be the first point of contact for our guests when entering any of our hotels. You will be their first impression of the hotel and brand and we want it to be a lasting impression! Ovolo Hotels is in search of their next Kitchen Attendant to come join our Fabulous Unconventional, Never Boring Team! You will play a vital role in the kitchen, ensuring smooth operations at all time whilst on shift. This is a Casual role and will require flexibility within your availability. • Assist the chefs with food preparation
• Safely operating dishwasher, cleaning restaurant dishes/glass as well as all utensils used within the kitchen
• Ensuring the order and cleanliness of the kitchen facilities up to government and company sanitation standards
• Maintaining all kitchen appliances and cooking equipment, ensuring everything is safely stored away, as well as stock levels are up to standard

The Gig

• Supervise operations and assist with duties as required, ensuring the smooth running of butler service according to Ovolo standards and procedures.

Experience in lifestyle hotels, strong in Front Office with previous team leader or supervisory experience is a must, along with proven ability to deliver an incredible, mind blowing, out of the Stratosphere experience for your Guests! 

This is a Front Office leadership role which means you MUST have previous experience in hotel front office operations at supervisory or duty manager level. You will have the opportunity to cross train and develop your skills across all areas of Hotel operations including F&B, reservations, revenue and housekeeping. This role will be provided with great training and mentoring opportunities.

The Gig

Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to: 

• Assisting in menu planning, implementation, and execution
• Controlling food preparation and managing wastage for your section
• Leading by example as a hands-on-chef with excellent quality assurance and standards
• Assisting in the development through innovative and original menu planning and maintenance of high food standards
• Establishing and maintaining effective employee working relationships at all times

You will continuously strive for perfection in every dish, always ensuring consistency and balance. You will ideally have a minimum of 4 years' work experience at a CDP level or Senior Demi Chef, looking to take the next step in your career.

The Gig 

We are on the lookout for our next Wonder Maker, aka Guest Service Agent, to join our fun and exciting team. As our GSA, you will be the first point of contact for our guests when entering any of our hotels. You will be their first impression of the hotel and brand, and we want it to be a lasting impression! This is a Part-Time role and will require flexibility with availability. Your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:

• Greeting guests as they enter the hotel
• Checking in & out guests 
• Modify and adjust guest bookings accordingly
• Promote the hotel and all it has to offer!
• Make suggestions to guests from your knowledge of the area
• Attending to guest enquiries in person or via phone, email, and website
• Supporting the Front Office management team in ensuring the smooth running of hotel operations
